We are now selling product to the target market of hardcore hip-hop music fans. We are not at all affiliated in any way, or have business ties with Wu-Tang Clan or Wu-Tang Corporation or any other companies. We are an independent online merchant portal for the purpose of creating a Mecca for fans of a certain style of music to find all their favorite artists in one place, and purchase product in a secure and reliable fashion. Such has been amiss in this market, and so our main goal, beyond making a profit, is to provide this service to both the artist/label as well as the consumer.
Our basic business model is as such: We accept whatever number of CDs (or other merchandise) on consignment, at whatever price you, the vendor wishes to set. We normally take a standard cut of only $5 per CD. This is about the same fee that sites like cdbaby.com take. We charge a $25 setup fee per CD, and we ask that the artist furnish us with a tracklist and short description as well. All tracklists and descriptions may be sent to buyer@chambermusik.com. What you get is a reliable, secure store with our own merchant account, not a shared account, or anything else that can jeopardize your product or cash flow. Also, we will provide you with an individual webpage for each CD you are selling, complete with 128 kpbs sound clips of one minute each, in CD quality, hosted on our own dedicated server. (Again, thats stereo quality, UNLIKE Amazon or CDBaby who both re-encode your songs in low resolution mono, if you are lucky enough to get audio up at all on Amazon!) Also, obviously, if you are listing a product with our store, we will be steadily pumping your CD on Chambermusik Radio, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. WHAT YOU DO NEXT: We recommend that you send us at least 5 CDs to start with. We will accept less, but we will need to open up and keep one to do the setup online, encoding, scanning, etc. If you have any information you want on your page, you should feel free to email it to us at buyer@chambermusik.com, along with any artwork, or additional info you want up. We will confirm with you via email as soon as we receive your product. All in all, we think we are offering a great deal, and hope to work with as many vendors as possible to help everyone involved.
